Up lifting movie moments

After watching Black Swan earlier today (do expect a post on that soon) I collapsed on the couch with a hearty turkey sandwich, thank god for Christmas left overs and found that Dead Poets Society was on so I indulged and watched.
It inspired me to share the up lifting movie moments that break your heart, so here's to you My Captain.

quote

"Art is something that moves from your insides into the physical world and at the same time is it just a representation of your insides in a different form. Art is a way to think."

Part machine, all future

Good evening Internet world, I am here to write.
Very simply I am here to write my thoughts about art, progression, inspiration and life.

As of right now I am a first year Arts student at OCAD hoping to specialize in the Critical and Curatorial Practice program come second year. Being the 'Luddite' that I am I was hesitant to start up a blog or have an available presence on FaceBook or have a smartphone or iPhone with access to the internet and so forth but throughout my first semester at OCAD a number of factors have come to my attention and made me consider easing up a little on my technological solidarity.
The main factor being that I want to be completely immersed in art; in the world of art, the culture of art, the creating of art, the writing, the viewing, the working, the giving, the history, the loving, the needing, the living of art. I want my life to be involved in art and if I want this and a job potentially in an arts administration position I need a web presence. No matter my aversion to a large portion of certain technological advancements if I want to be considered as a candidate for a job I love and participate in the art community I gotta get a website.
This is me, stepping my baby toe into the online world with open arms to embrace and take advantage of all the possibilities out there.
Another qualifying factor is I love to write. My first semester English teacher encouraged me to keep writing as an active force in my school career because she thought I had an ‘interesting’ approach to writing. I will take that and I will write. I have a number of thoughts that bump around in my head that I think would benefit and potentially become fully formed ideas and opinions if I sat down and spend the time with them.

So here I e-stand, ready to move forward.
